Ok, I'm done with my month or so of lurking - here I go.

Villain is 50/16. At this table for about 60 hands, I'm 20/... uhh, is there a way to see PFR per session under the Session Notes tab of Poker Tracker?

I had been leading out most of the time and thought I'd mix it up a bit.

Button ($21.37)
SB ($22.65)
Hero ($50.81)
UTG ($15.18)
UTG+1 ($19.85)
MP1 ($20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
<font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, CO calls $0.25, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25.

Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5</font>, CO folds, Button calls $3.

I think if I'm going to try to pull this, I need to raise more.

Turn: ($12.60) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero...?</font>

The three options I give myself are check, bet $8, or push. Justify your answer /images/graemlins/wink.gif and dejustify the others if you'd like. My action and results to follow.

not quite sure why you reraised to $5.

what range do you put villain on on the turn?

I'd bet $8 and fold to a reraise. I wouldn't push because TPGK isn't all that strong of a hand and you're not even the pfr.

By you're $5 reraise, I'm assuming you think you've got the villian beat here. If that's the case and the brick comes up on the turn (putting a flush draw on the board), I bet again. I fold to any resistance though.

You arent going to steal a pot reraising to 5 against a bet and a pfraiser who reraises, esp when you dont have position.

The heart turn was a blessing, but out of position it is difficult to play. If you bet, you are sure to get reraised. If you check, there is a going to be a 3/4-potsized bet coming back to you.

It is either check/fold or check/push. On a check/push after the presummed turn action, I cant see either the CO or button folding for what little amount they will have behind.

I raised with the thinking I was ahead, but I now think that $5 was too low. I'm really only raising $3 on a $6.60 pot - bad math.

He seemed quite loose, and I figured I was probably ahead. At the time, I put him on any pair or any part of the flop - most of which I'm ahead.

I'm struggling with balancing the 50/16 and the two min-raises. Any pair, A4s, K4s, A9s, K9s, Q9s, any Js down to 8? Maybe some of the above unsuited.

Overcards? Probably not.

Does this range seem reasonable?

If I bet $8 and get re-raised, I think I'm committed - the pot will be $36.47 from a push back, and I'd need to call less than $8, far better than the 4:1 I need for the flush, not to mention the 2 jacks left. I think IF I bet $8 and get re-raised, I need to call.

I completely agree - 5 was a bad number.. if I'm going to re-raise, I need make it at least 7 to go.

So a push on my part is not a reasonable semi-bluff? If I'm going to bet any more than $8, a push is really the only other reasonable bet.

River: ($44.34) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $44.34

Results:
Hero has Qh Jh (one pair, jacks).
Button has Kh Ks (one pair, kings).
Outcome: Button wins $44.34.

If I was going to check-raise, I needed to check-raise at least $7 on the flop. On the turn, I think I either check and decide what to do (leaning towards folding), or push. I know if I'm sitting there with an overpair and just got check-raised and pushed, I'm going to think twice.. then again, I'm not playing against me.

Oh well.. it was an expensive Player Note /images/graemlins/smile.gif
