I recently opened an Empire acct to get rakeback. It came with the $100 deposit bonus. I just checked to see why I haven't gotten it, and it said I had only played 27 of the required 500 raked hands.

I was under the assumption that I could get the bonus playing SNG's.

So, I was wrong, right? I must play some cash games for the next 2 hours. Right?

AFAIK, you can't clear these bonuses by playing SNGs. It may be possible on other sites, though.

Complete guess here, but have you played 27 SNGs? Maybe each SNG is 1 "raked hand" so to speak...

I've played a lot more than that.

All sites I know require raked hands for bonus. Therefore no SNG. I basically bore myself playing low stake cash games to get the bonus, surely there are now enough SNG specialist players that we should be able to chnage this?

I would hope.

Oh, well. Here goes 3 hours of limit cash games. *snore*

Thanks for the replies.

SnG's don't count as "raked hands"...You will be surprised how quickly you will clear the 500 raked hands if you play a quick ring game like low-limit NLHE...B-T-W the bonus will be deducted from your first rakeback payment

If you can play 7 stud, my understanding is that because you ante every hand you participate in every raked pot, and most pots will end up passing the rake threshold. Thus 7 stud is supposed to be a pretty good bonus clearing game from what I've heard, though I don't have experience with that particular aspect of it.

You can clear bonuses on Poker Stars playing tournaments. Nice bonus for SNG players.

Pokerroom and its skins allow bonuses to be worked off using SnGs.

Play the 1/2 6-max game. I cleared a Multi bonus there last night, 330 raked hands, took an hour and 15 minutes. Made $95 just playing, and then the bonus on top of it. I don't ever play shorthanded ring game...so I either was super hot or the play is just terrible. And I wasn't getting exceptional cards.

Oh yeah--forgot about that.

Anyway, I played a bunch of 1/2 limit. I'm not sure how the BB/100 is calculated. Is it BB's per 100 ($1), or Big Bets per 100 ($2)?

I won like $220 over 600 hands, so either 18.3/100 or 36.6/100.

I rule.

Got the bonus.

For the record..Pokerroom, Full Tilt, Pokerstars are the ones I know for SNG bonus.
