as fishy as the 22s are, the only hands id pay that price to play is aa and kk

Go with your gut here. Based on my 10+1 play, n00bs play AA-KK the same as they do QJs and everything in between. Assuming he has no clue what is going on (as I do) it's hard to tell. At the 10+1 I usually call due to the number of times I see KJo and A2 (sooted of course)... 20+2 there's less of it, so I'm not sure if it's as profitable or not in your case.

I don't give my opponents enough credit to lay this down. There are two types of opponents here, those who push just AA/KK because other people suck, or those who just suck.

I expect the latter to be much more numerous.
