Stars 3/6 6 handed.

Villain openraises in the CO. in 100 hands, I have him rated as LPP, with a VPIP of about 40, with marginal pre-flop aggresion, and a postflop aggresion rating of basically 0.

I call in the BB with 77. (I'm the only caller).

Flop comes 8 J 3 rainbow. I check/raise.

Is there more value in a c/r here vs an aggresive player? I don't want to wait until the turn to C/R, b/c he would only bet with hands I'm way behind. I don't want to fold for 1 SB on this flop. Anywho, I c/r, and I'm not sure if that's right.

Turn and River are both 6's, and I lead out and am called on both streets.

should I be folding somewhere? is there a better line vs a passive player?

C/R flop or 3 bet PF is very effective against passive player. I would like him to fold to my lead bet on turn. River I will often check/fold to passive players that doesn't bet their A high etc.
