I've decided that I'm very bad at this. No reads, this is the 3rd hand of level 1. When do you start becoming aggressive?

I bet 1/3rd of the pot every time I want money for my good hand, I treat monsters the same way. If they dont have something u wont be able to get them to call u, just hope they have soemthing and keep betting

Good advice. Remember, a monster has no value if your opponent doesn't have a hand. Plus, you gave your opponent good odds to draw on the turn if he had a set and was drawing to a full house. I've done that before. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

you would be supprised how many calls you will get when you ALLIN that river... I didn't notice what buyin you were at.. but 20 and below im ALLIN on that riv everytime just from knowing how these other fools play..

I run like hell from your flop bet, but most players probably put you on a flush draw.

IE- Against better players, I would bet more on the flop, because it's precisely the oppostite of what people expect you to be doing if you have a monster.

I'd go so far as to say an all-in on the flop probably gets you more calls than you would imagine at lower levels.

I think you are right. I have to bet more on the flop when I have a monster, to build the pot for later streets. If no one has anything, no one has anything and I have to say "oh well".

Bet more on the flop or C/R all-in. (I love that one)

Well, I think betting the flop hard and checking the turn is pretty nice /images/graemlins/smile.gif
