Limping with suited connectors after 3 callers- fine.
Getting all your money in with the best hand- great.
Losing to a one card flush on the river- priceless....

You won the hand on points, but the poker gods gave the fight to the other guy- it was probably a political decision.

Folding pre-flop is awful.

This is what you want out of your small flush. It just sucks you got outdraw this 35% of the time.

what buy in do you play?

$11 on UB for now. Gonna move to the $22 games when I play at least 100 more at this level. I understand they are similar.

I'm just glad I'm not getting yelled at this time...

Just think of all the neat stuff you'll be able to get with your Sklansky dollars. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Actually it was less than that as two of his "outs" would have given me the straight flush.

Playing suited connectors after limpers is fine if you think you get to see the flop cheaply. In this situation I would rather play 76s more than AJ.

You definitely shouldn't fold preflop, but the post essentially seems like a bad beat post to me, so I'm surprised you're not getting yelled at more for that. Or do you think that getting your money in the middle when he's drawing to a 5 outer is misplaying it?

Bad beats happen to everyone, not just you.

I like the play too, but lemme ask, what if hero had 800 chips on Party with the big blind of 15? Would everyone still limp 87s here?

Don't fold preflop to a bunch of limpers when you have the best multiway hand, and a chance to get a way cheaply if you don't hit. The CO should have raised preflop, but on the turn I'd put him on TPTK with the nut flush draw. Anyway, you're in good shape on the turn, he just hit a lucky card. Nice hand.

equity (%) win (%) / tie (%)

Hand 1: 88.6364 % [ 00.89 00.00 ] { 8d7d }
Hand 2: 11.3636 % [ 00.11 00.00 ] { AdKc }

Edit: That is on the turn, obviously

Yes. You have a 52BB stack to double up if you hit.
