I only had one orbit, but it was already clear that villian was a bit on the maniac side. He busted out in about 1 1/2 more orbits, but I didn't have a super solid read on him. I'm really tempted to call here. Just let this one go?

can you describe your evidence for him being a maniac? preflop minraises from maniacs could also denote a very strong hand.

Describe the evidence? Such as what specifically would you like? His VP$IP is 90%, PFR 18%, PFA 3.2. This is a small sample size, so my read is based on his betting patterns and how he's playing and what kind of hands he's playing.

I'd be tempted to call this too, but I fold and hope he doesn't bust before I can get his stack.

i mean looking at past hands of his that have gone to a showdown. preflop statistics aren't anywhere near as important as postflop tendencies. what types of hands has he pushed with after he's seen a flop?

I have one orbit with this guy. What kind of information do you want after one orbit? The stats I offered do play a role, but I can't offer any more then my general read. Just assume he's a maniac. Fold or call?

I think a fold is in order.

Why do you overbet a weak hand like TPGK? If he is a thinking lag that might be the reason he raised you. Chances are he is not...

/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm concluding that he's not a thinking LAG either. As far as the over bet. I'm playing my bluffs and flopped hands the same. You get more action this way. I probably am good here, but I did indeed fold. I was hoping villian would last longer but it only took about 13-14 more hands for him to bust.
