In both hands, I like to call the preflop raise and see a flop. Jacks are hands that I like to play for set value this early in a tournament. If you miss your set and there are overcards on the board, you can very easily get away from the hand.

With hand two, I think the continuation bet on the flop is fine, but when he calls, I think you need to go into check-down mode for the rest of the hand.

Hand 1 is fear of playing postflop. No reason to make that big an overbet there, though you can certainly reraise.

Hand 2 is an easy turn check. Once your opponent calls you on the flop, I really like slowing down unless you see weakness. You're going to be bleeding off chips at the $10+1 by firing multiple bullets as a standard.

HAND ONE

I would call and see the flop. All-in first hand is for freerolls.

HAND TWO

Check the turn. You're beaty. Let it go.
