Back in my days at the PP $25 tables, I used to describe stuff like this as a "ridiculous call". If it were me betting all-in like that, I'd have a damn strong hand, one that could beat AK here. But it wasn't me at PP $25, and so I'd call and get shown second pair and stuff. I used to call these "ridiculous calls", I'd make them all the time, and they were very profitable.

At PP $50, I made them less, and at PP $100, I don't make them much at all because people seem to have some common sense and more often than not, have it when they bet it (that I've seen).

How many of you make this call here? Why or why not? Realistically, pot odds dictate I need to win this just over 33% of the time to be profitable.

Yah I'd really want to fold this one, I mean what could he possibly be doing this with that you have beat.

If I knew the player was a chump I'd probably close my eyes and hit call.

Like he said, unless the guy is an idiot think about the hands that you would make a play like this with. Most of them are ahead of AK. Just follow the advice of many, dont call your whole stack off with just 1 pair.
