Because my dad's friend is so awesome /images/graemlins/grin.gif instead of giving me her old 1.5 year old Dell she got me a new PC that's worth about $1,500 for half the cost w/ coupons and the whatnot for my graduation gift.

Anyways, I know jack sh*t about computers. How good is this set-up?

That's not worth anywhere near 1500, but I'll agree that it's a pretty cool gift.

The unit price is just under $1,500

However, she got it for approx $1,100. Plus free printer /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Well by worth I was talking about what it would cost you to put the thing together yourself. You could do that for far less than $1100.

The free printer is a printer-company scam to get you to buy a ton of ink cartridges. Non-laser printers are horrible for that. If you use them a lot they run out of ink quickly. If you don't use them a lot the ink dries up and you need to replace it.

I'm an entertainer. People like to play games, and I engage in them with them for a slight fee. They get to win sometimes too.

I used to be a programmer.

I really prefer AMD processors, but this is a good and fast machine you have configured.

Her pooper took one for a discount. Or is your problem that $1100 > 0.5 * $1500?
