Reasonable stats (31/14/2.33) Stacked him with 99 on a 2392 against his AK....I'm still ahead of KT or QT here..can't figure he'd call on the turn with AJ/J9

He's shown weakness all the way, and if you stacked him with unpaired AK he can't be too bright.

I'm raising to $10(half his remaining stack) and making some money. You're ahead 90% of the time here I think. If he got lucky, so be it.

It seems to me that these "sudden out of the blue" bets nearly always mean something. If it means QTo or KTo good for you. Besides these too hands I dont see a worse hand call you. I think raising is worse than calling here, since you nearly cant fold if he reraises you all-in.

$3 into a $25 pot though? Is he begging for a raise?

he's begging for cheap showdown most of the time
raise to 1/2 the pot and you can probably fold a to a reraise

He had an unbelievable Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif J/images/graemlins/spade.gif for an incredible suckout and the small river bet made me just call, fearing the worst...Is this just a rare situation?

not sure how important these following points are, but others can elaborate either way if they choose

I'd raise more Preflop. have heard 3XBB + 1BB/caller thrown out quite a bit.
-----------

I would have raised the flop a little more ... your bet was almost pricing him in to see a flush/str8 draw (if he was on diamonds or JT, etc.) ... I think when you raised it was about $3 back to him into a pot of ~$9. too minor of a point, perhaps?
