I seem to be losing a lot of hands like this. SHould I do more to protect them?

SHould I always C/R this? Is betting out a bad idea?

Betting out is not a bad idea, check-raising is just a better one.

Aight. I always fear it getting checked through.

When I check and the person immediately my left bets and everyone calls to me, should I still raise? Wait until a blank turn and try again? Call/Lead turn?

Betting out is probably the best play. Sometimes people are going to make hands against you. C'est le poker.
