Only thing I would do differently is 3bet the flop.

I think it's ok - you'll see AK 6 times more often as AA, and even if he has you beat you've got a nice draw.

Disclaimer: I'm a lame duck at HU play.

edit: I missed the flop call. Definitely 3-bet.

i was waiting for the turn and the bigger bet to do that - no good?

The problem is that if you check on the turn (to try and check raise) he may just check if he is weak and/or on a draw and if you bet out there is no guarentee that he will raise.

I highly doubt he'd check the turn. He capped PF and raised an A-high flop on a flush-drawless board. I really, really doubt he's doing this with KQs/o or something.

In this case, I think you need to 3-bet the flop. Given the amount of aggression he's shown, I can only think of a handful of hands he's doing this with if he's at all reasonable, and you're behind/tied with all of them except AQ. I'd 3-bet the flop and call a cap. At that point, I'd likely bet the turn and if he raises again, just call him down.

My mistake. Didn't notice the limp/raise preflop. Just raise - the cost if nobody raises behind you is too great.

Damn. After all that, I didn't even notice OP limp/re-raised either. Just raise it yourself to begin with. A) It's .50/1.00. If they want to play, they will. B) Open-raising from MP2 doesn't necessarily mean a monster hand, even at this limit. The hand may have played out differently had you just raised initially.
