I played the hand very passively hoping to lose as little as possible vs some weak ace. The minbets sure do confuse me. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Flaming may begin

You can probably safely raise somewhere and hope he folds a weak ace.

i like making a small-med raise on the flop then betting 3/4 on the turn if checked to when it looks like i'm up against a weak ace. making a real raise on the flop is good too. when you "know" they have a weak ace, trust them to know to fold it. the reason he's making those probing bets is he wants to know if you have AK. tell him you do and he'll oblige you.

if he can beat AK, youll know it soon enough.

Even with someone yet to act, raise the flop. I doubt there's going to be a weak ace here, you're more realistic bet is mid pair who's playing it cautious and setting the price of cards on you. If someone comes back over the top then you can drop it there, but it's cheaper to find out on the flop where you are in these situations against mutliple opponents.

And yes I'd check the river.

Mid/high pair I should say.
TT,JJ - it's more of a possibility then a weak Ace. Look, no matter what hand it is, it's poorly played. Even if it's AK. So why is mid/high pocket so out so out of the quesiton?

Why are you guys assuming you can take a random player off of a weak Ace at a low-limit table?

TT/JJ are much less likely than, say, AJ. now that i look again it's probably the nut flush draw, putting hero in a bad spot.

meh, it's $1/$2. it can be done.
