I just got a call from someone at Absolute, I told them I was busy (playing at party /images/graemlins/smile.gif He emailed me some special deposit bonus offer that didn't really interest me, and a 5% cash bonus offer. Well I should be getting some free money soon. are there any other poker sites that will offer you a cash bonus for not playing there?

Party/Empire gave me $50 the first time I emptied my account and quit playing there for awhile. I believe Empire VIP players also get a monthly deposit bonus that requires no playthrough.

When you're in the Royal Flush Club at Empire, you get a 10% up to $100 bonus with no playthrough. So all you do is deposit $1000, and you get the $100 instantly. Unfortunately, playing 1000 hands a day at Empire puts you in the Royal Flush Club in about 11 months. Their point formula for ring games is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.

Dumb, yes. Keep in mind they have to share ring $$ w/Party,
but the tourneys are their own......

Which would YOU promote in that instance?

Actually, I hadn't even thought of that. Makes sense now. But I still think they should set-up the ring game point structure in a way that encourages playing a lot of hands, even if it's not on the same level as the tournaments. Using the square root function is pretty silly.
