What would you have done.. I consider the turn and river to be mostly continuation bets.... How do you like it?

I'm still learning too, but it looks alright to me. When I first started to post this, I thought you should have bet more on the turn and river, but if he has a T, you will lose to a better kicker (plus T8) slightly more than half of the time and split the pot the other half, so I dont think you should have been more aggressive. I dont think an 8 or a smaller pocket pair calls here often enough to warrant betting more. The only other reason I see to betting more on the turn is if you think villain would fold to a larger turn bet. Without any reads, I dont think you can assume he will at this level. JMO.

He isn't folding on the turn and he isn't folding on the river.

you realize that you split with T2 - T5 and lose to all other TX combinations right?

you also realize that unless he is calling you down with an 8, these small bets on the turn and river are kind of pointless.

Unless if you think he is on flush draw and he will bluff the river with a bet you can't call, $2 on the end is ugly.

I saw the $2 on the end as more of a blocking bet. If you check here and he pushes, you have to fold regardless of what hand he has.

I agree with it being a blocking bet.

What are you blocking against? if you don't think he'll bluff a missed draw, check folding is absolutely the right move against almost any bet.

After thinking this over a little more, I have to agree with you. Hero is either winning against a draw, or losing or splitting against a T, neither of which would make betting the river a good play.

The only time a river bet would be good here is if villain is going to call him down with worse than a T. At this level, it will definitely happen, but I dont think it happens often enough to warrant a river bet.

Thanks for the discussion amoeba.

Thanks guys. I felt really out of place, so I just kept betting prayting not to get raised. Kind of assinine. He called me down and showed me an 8. I took it down. You guys played it much better.
