Wait, you're under 21? I always thought you'd be in the 25-100 range.

Same here, especially after he talked about playing poker with Ed Norton.

that's my main point. im guessing thats a negative, someone thinking your a 40 year old with a darth vader infatuation. i don't even like star wars that much, i haven't even seen the new one.

For some, good, for others, bad. I thought of you in a positive light though. I actually had no range on the age, except above 25 and below 100. 40's sounded good though. How old are you?

Voltron87

thats still true.

maybe i should have played along... its for my kid?

I'm not sure I understand the question? Are you implying that DV should indicate youth? Star Wars came out when I was like 6. I had no idea there was a new generation of teenage Star Wars nerds. I thought it was all old guys that got hooked on the original.

solidly under 21. the time it will take me to procure said ID is much shorter than the time it will take to turn 21.

eh, i do see your reasoning. though i also partook in several video game discussions, typical of the under 25 segment of OOT.

I have you in your mid 30s jake. well out of college and that stuff but not an old man (at least for a few months /images/graemlins/tongue.gif)

36. I'm not sure why I thought you were older. I probably just read a post early on that led me to that conclusion and never changed my read.

Go to the Village. Check the tatoo parlors and photo shops and such, and just ask them if they know where you can get one. Chances are very good that the first place you check will have them.

So what's the over under on posts it takes to get me a real response here? 30? 40? This is other other, I did ask myself for this.

It's pretty easy to scan your real id, doctor it on photoshop and laminate it with some contact paper.

thats where i went last time, they're all horrible ids and mine got tooken by a huge bouncer. he didnt want to give it back... i had no recourse.

this is what i want to pay someone else to do for me...

it would take me a while to do right and i can afford to just have someone else do a good job. i also want a well done one, not a bang up job.

If you have an NY state ID it should be fairly easy to chalk it. If you have more than 5 friends in the city, one of them will know how to do it. Just stay away from bouncers who take their jobs too seriously.

Obviously I do have other lines of communication open, but OOT could actually provide me with something useful here. Is that against the rules?

I went to a check cashing type of place here in CA for mine when I was still in HS. It was pretty janky looking but worked at most of the hotels in LV just fine. Never got away with alcohol though. I guess LV doesn't care nearly as much as liquor stores. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Two things.

Admitting to being infatuated with Darth Vader on a public message board seems strange.

Also, if you really got to play poker with Ed Norton I am INSANELY jealous.

Voltron87
05-27-2005, 03:19 PM
1. its not an infatutation, i just thought it was a cool avatar and the quote combo would be good on a message board.
2. Yeah. He's a really cool guy in real life. I didn't play with him for very long, and its not a regular thing (I don't know him or anything).

an id that scans is orders of magnitude more difficult to find than one that will be accepted by most every bouncer. the easiest way to get one is probably to have one of your of-age friends 'lose' their license and get a new one mailed to them.

Yeah not to mention must less tragic should something go wrong. The penatly for having a real ID that isn't you is much less severe then that of having a made up ID. I highly suggest that you take this road after being in your spot for quite a while. It is also troublesome when you find out that the guy who made yours is getting busted and is giving out names of those whom he made IDs for.

I'll pay nice coin for anyone that can get me a nice fake in Miami. Sorry for thread jack, hope you find a good fake. Aren't NYC licenses made out of paper? not sure where I heard that? PZ.

PS: Drunk like whoa.
