This is one of the most proliferate spamming campaigns I've ever seen, at least on message boards. This guy is nailing everything, even the forums for my over-30 baseball league. I certainly respect free speech - this whacko has every right to it - but is he crossing any legal lines?

To my knowledge no, but damn his JesusBots are irritating. Hopefully someone with more legal know-how will chime in and say YES.

I always thought spamming was illegal. Wasn't there a guy who was making like 900k a month found and brought down 1-2 months ago?

Can I get the cliff notes on this? Is he the poster behind the biblebangingbots?

Technically this is not spamming. It's crapflooding, and it's not really illegal.

One thing is for sure, next time one of these idiots knocks on my door I'm phoning the police for trespassing.

I like DriveTT's idea - we've got his information, anybody lives close to him or feels like making some phone calls?

If people started to send him money, then would it be illegal since that could be percieved as funding?

Well, I'm bored and "working" from home today, so every cigarette break Mr. Grossi's answering maching gets a new message reflecting my personal experience of his bots.

Good point. I suppose his posts are no more of a waste of space than mine.

I wish he was so that they could arrest this monkey.

From another forum...another reason to hate AOL (http://www.mcse.ms/archive222-2005-5-1619386.html)

Oh it is well known where it emanates. Grossi is an AOL subscriber who then creates a Yahoo
email address to subsequently create Google Groups accounts. Over the months he has
thwarted all attempts filter his post. I can't provide specific information on a MS News
Server because the information will trip a filter and block my post.

It is AOL's perception that since Grossi creates Yahoo accounts to subsequently create
Google Groups accounts that is does not violate the AOL Terms of Service (ToS). Therefore
they won't take action to either stop him or contact him even though AOL management in
Dulles Virginia admit that the source is an AOL account holder.

At best, Google and Yahoo will delete accounts created and identified as used in the spam.
However, Grossi creates "hundreds" of accounts and both are too late as by the time Google
and Yahoo delete the accounts he has already created new ones. In his latest spam attach he
used the URL - http://www.gotquestions.org/sinners-prayer.html
The admins of the site had to place a disclaimer on the site...

"Please note - there is an individual who goes by the name Ronald Grossi who is posting
"spam" on internet newsgroups. Included in the "spam" is a link to this webpage. We are in
no manner affiliated with Ronald Grossi. If there was anything we could do to convince him
to cease his activities, we would do so."

When Grossi first started, he multi-posted only. Grossi has learned to cross-post his
multi-post spam and hits several MS News Group. Mr. Eddy, MS News Server admin, is aware of
the spam and has active filters for them."

If he is a Christian, I just ask that everybody remember that there are a few of us out there that aren't complete assclowns.

why not treat it like a Vegas casino treats a Black Jack counter.

Boot him and inform him that if he returns he will be trespassing. That would be breaking the law.

My family is very Christian and they aren't assclowns so I know where you're coming from.

God says to love your neighbour, not annoy the crap out of them.

Where is the thread with his contact information? I've lost it.

Never mind I found it. I'll be stopping at the convenience store on the way home. I'm buying every nudie mag they have and filling out the new subscription blow cards for Ronny.
