Early in session both BB and MP have already proved to be donks, hence the river call.

Why? You can't have a better pattern mapper? Calling this with 63o he must know what he is doing.

I was dying to post these, but really didn't want to start up a bad beat thread. Since you did it already though, this seems like a perfect place.

These 2 had me going on full out tilt right after (they happened within 5 mins of each other)

They're reraising what looks like blind steals from you, and they happen to hit flops. You were never a huge favorite to win either of those hands. I am sorry.....

well JJ vs 2 nonsuited 1gap undercards is a pretty large favorite but I agree with you miles .. i don't blink unless they hit a 1-2 outer on the turn or river, and most of the time those don't bug me anymore

Any two cards versus an overpair is nothing...

In my hand I was more a favorite on the flop than AA is to AK preflop (ignoring the T3 dude). Chew on those balls.

I feel your pain brother. This one is even more extreme since it wasn't a steal situation and capped preflop, so I expected to see AA or KK.

This is one hell of a beat. I was there when it happened. All these hands with opponents calling is nothing and sucking out is nowhere near this hands level. This hand is nasty.

Perfectly. And preflop isn't much of a stretch if you imagine loose blinds etc...

Not really. The pot is bigger but the chance of winning for the opponent is MUCH higher. In my hand my opponent had to hit runner runner 7's OR runner runner Q's i.e 0.5 % chance to win on the flop. Loosing to four of a kind with a higher set is ten times as likely!

I would keep going on the river. All the villian has told you is that he can beat AK. From the villian's standpoint, 99 and 98 are EXACTLY the same hand on the turn. They both lose to KK and they both crush AK and AA. If the villian liked 98 (two pair) on the turn, he is going to like his house on the river. Similar comments apply to 88 and K9.

villain was pretty solid, though - something like 16/5/2 over 100+ hands. I couldn't see him coldcalling with 98 or K9, without anyone else calling between us. after he 3-bets my turn cr, I was like 99% sure he had a set of 8's or 9's. and one of those two hands kicks my ass on the river. so that's why I didn't 3-bet the river.
