I posted this in another group

Thought I'd share this.

It's called the Tuscanny.

Ciabatta bread (or soft equivalent)

Priscuito ham (salami will work)
Pepperoni
basil leaf
sundried tomato (optional)
chipotle mayonaise (or regular mayo but it may not have that little extra zip)
mozarella cheese.

Lightly coat the outside (or just one side of it) with a garlic spread. Put in your Foreman grill 'til warm and cheese is melted.

It's a taste of heaven.

I ate this at the racetrack and bought the ingredients as it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Except I effed up and brainfarted and bought 1 pound of salami instead of pepperoni. We already had lots of salami here. :/ Not sure what the hell I was thinking...
I'll blame it on the hot honey behind the deli counter. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

After buying all the ingredients I realized why they kind of cost a bit at the track.

Good eatin'

Just to be a nit, panini = sandwiches.

Panino is the singular.

And yes, they pwn hard.

With one pound of salami, it probably was panini (and you try ordering a pannino outside Italy :P).

Sandwiches, panini, and all similar concepts are one of the l33t foods.

I go for simple---smoked turkey breast, but yes, these sandwiches are very good (I don't know how to say that in internet speak).

I'm guessing that the Parma ham is prosciutto. Prosciutto di Parma is the best prosciutto you can buy. It is usually like $15/lb.

Paninis definitely rule.
