id actually sleep better as a casino owner than a poker player because casinos actually provide worthwile entertainment for many people.

and they have pretty comfortable beds.

but seriously folks...

i would definatly sleep better, because the people really can afford to lose this stuff. most people in casino's are families or young people looking for a kick, and expecting to lose. plus, i would accociate a casino owner with being a business man more than poker.

Sure, I would.

Then again, I could sleep at night, even if I were a pedantic misanthropic douchebag, which I am.

I don't have exact numbers but I think that is quite wrong.

i would not be able to sleep at night if i knew that on a daily basis, 100's of people lose everything they own in b&m's. on the internet, yes, but these people have travelled all the way to vegas for the fun of vegas, not the money they could win. they don't care about it. they like the atmosphere, the fun, the shows etc... That would depend if the supermodels were snoring or not.

hmm maybe I should have said a non-vegas casino... like an Indian casino in a rural area.

I'm sorry, but this question is one of the most naive, silly question I've ever seen on here.

No one forces people to gamble, smoke, or eat Big Macs.

All are bad for you in large doses.

Moderation is the key, Scooter.

People who gamble are adults and should be treated as such.

Period.

More to the point, in general, I wouldn't have a hard time sleeping, but throwing players out for card counting would cause me to punch the pillow a bit.

I would sleep the same as I would at any other profession, probably better, because if I were a casino owner I could afford a very comfortable bed, and sleeping pills- or drugs, if I still couldn't fall asleep.
