Yes, I generally make a continuation bet on the flop. Sometimes the continuation bet wins the pot, sometimes the continuation bet is CR'd, and less frequently the continuation bet is called. In this case I anticipated a signficant CR (slight read on villian).

I felt dirty about my play in this hand. Would I feel better about making a continuation bet on the flop and getting all-in if CR'd (likely coin-flip)?

I don't mind a check on the flop given a read without the nut flush draw. With this draw, I bet and possibly call a c/r all-in.
