Lunchtime Query

Here's the situation. You're at Au Bon Pain, Corner Bakery or some other similar chain lunch place with co-workers. You've ordered a chicken ceaser salad and go to get a fork from the silverware area. The "fork bucket" is empty except for one lonely fork. Do you...

A) Take the fork and eat the salad with it

B) Stand there and wait for them to refill the forks b/c that one lonely fork in there could have something wrong with it (ie: been licked, dropped on the floor, touched repeatedly, etc.)

If you were going to choose option B, the least you could do is take the fork and throw it out and then tell them the "fork bucket" is empty.

One important note is this is silverware, not plastic utensils.

If you truely have something against taking the last fork from the bucket, you will find a way to get rid of that fork (and tell them it's empty) instead of standing there waiting for them to fill it up.

Or for someone to grab the last fork (since this place was mobbed, that shouldn't take long probably) /images/graemlins/cool.gif. But yea, your point is a good one..

Pick up the last fork and "accidentally" drop it on the floor making as much noise as possible so the lazy damn slackers who work at these places notice and will get you your new fork asap. If that doesn't work pick up said fork and theaten to stick it in the closest employee's pooper /images/graemlins/grin.gif ( used judiciously this line will ALWAYS be funny)
