I run into this situation quite often with mid pocket pairs. Basically, I'm out of position, theres an overcard on board and my opponent is just calling away.
Heres an example:
I'm playing 15/30 6 max and in the SB w/88. This is my second hand at the table, so no reads.
preflop: UTG limps, CO raises, I 3-bet, they both call
Flop: A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
I bet, only CO calls
Turn: 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
I bet, CO quickly calls
River: J /images/graemlins/club.gif
I check-fold
Should I call the river? Check-fold the turn? Bet the river?
I open raise 77, 88, 99 almost 100% of the time and I constantly find myself in these situations. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
