Table was pretty loose and sometimes overaggressive, but i had no real read on villain because it was his third hand at the table. Please help me out on the entire hand.

Check behind on the turn, it is likely that you are beat and if villain is on the draw (flush or str8) he's probably not folding.

If you spike an A or K on the river- i'd check/call a reasonable bet

I did check behind and every draw missed, but he bets out $6. What then?

Yep. What he said. I generally slow down on the turn if they call the continuation bet. Sometimes you can convince them you have a big PP but I find that it is seldom enough that it is -EV for me to try. Check behind and hope for a good river.

I generally fold here unless I have a great read. He has to have absolutely nothing more than 25% of the time for a call to be +EV (if my late night math is right.)

Actually he's getting ~3:1 on a call(if my late night math is right). I can't see too many hands containing a 5 or an 8 calling pf, especially since hero raised 8xBB. Unless villian is being stubborn with a small pp, hero likely has the best hand. JMO
