Unknown player (UP) enters the game and posts behind the button. The action gets to UP and it is one more bet for him to call. UP folds.

What kind of image has the UP just projected?

You have a serious lack of understanding of the ways of Tommy Angelo.

The image of somebody who was dealt 94o? Seriously, I wouldn't read much into this.

ask him what he had in his first hand of the night. his answer will tell you all.

To me it says the person is a tight ass nit and I'm gonna remember to take a few shots at him later on. I basically never fold for one bet when I post behind the button. I don't think it costs me that much, if anything at all. Could be wrong on this one.

Recently I posted behind the button, had 94o, and called the obligatory raise from the guy who opened on my right. I flopped trips. He expressed consternation, and I remarked that I thought the 49ers were going to be much better this year. Then he tilted.

Depends on how many are in the pot. If it's only him and the raiser, maybe I'd think he's okay and is avoiding playing a small pot for a raise with crap. If there's 3-4 players in already, then maybe I'd think he's too tight because he's in LP and will probably end up getting at least 8-1 on his call with any 2 cards in a multi-way pot.
