I used to be 25% roi over 1500+ SnGs. This month, my past 250 SnG's have been only 10% ROI and dropping. After another horrible day yesterday, i might only be at 9% now.

So i went over my hand histories when I was 25% roi. i think my play back then has been horrible compared to what I know today. (or is what I know today wrong???)

ie: Lvl2 blinds, 790 chips, and am the button with 77. mp (no read) raises 3BB to 90. I push. WTF am I going for a coin flip this early in the tourny for?!

ie2: Below is another horrible play. What am I doing?!

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (3 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

<font color="#C00000">HERO (t4685)</font>
SB (t3265)
<font color="#C00000">BB (t2050)</font>

Preflop: HERO is Button with 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, T/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
HERO calls t600, 1 fold, BB bets t1450 (All-In)

Read when I was reviewing this HH:
BB has defended a min raise by sb at 250/500 blinds. But i guess if i was multi-tabling, i would have missed that.

In any case, what the hell am I doing calling with 8To in any situation???

The above was only the 10th SnG i've reviewed so far. But man, given the plays I was making, I have no idea how i wound up with 25% roi.

Unless calling with 77 vs a coin flip at lvl2 is correct. Or calling on button at 300/600 blinds with 8To as bigstack is also correct??? If so, please expain how it can be correct? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

You were a luckbox.

Case closed.

(Although looking over more HHs is always a good idea...from *any* period of your play)
