In these situations its very rare for them to have a better full house, if he had KK or JJ I would have known from before flop and would have folded to a raise,

I know the guy was veru capable of even raising alot with 3 of kind 4s, but I guessed he had at best the J or the 5,

This kind of hands happens often enough to be a good boost to winrate.

Hence the "guess you were there" -- your read was good, well played. Against an unkown I'm sure I would of slowed down much sooner, getting scared of the slow-played monster or even the 55.
