This is one of those annoying posted hands with no reads since it was my first few hands at the new table. I decided to just call the reraise preflop against an unknown to see the flop and decide where I'm at. (Mistake?)
On the flop I decided to just call his bet to see how he would react to the call. I figured that if had missed overcards then it would be okay for him to keep bluffing, but I would have to be wary of a K or an A. I was also trying to keep the pot smallish in case I was behind to kings or aces.
When the board paired on the turn, I figured that it was a good spot for a check raise. I figured that he might have to give some thought to folding an overpair (although probably unlikely given that it could have been seen as a bluff). I also would like to win the hand right here if he does in fact have just overcards since the pot has now gotten big.
Any major judgement flaws against a "typical" PP 25 NL opponent?
