So, was this river bet too much? I figured at least one of them would have an Ace and call.

MP1 is 41.03 VPIP, 20.51 PFR, 2.00 AF after 39 hands

I'm new to this so be warned...

I think you were right to raise, but should have considered a smaller amount. The largest bet goes from $1 to $30. You really couldnt expect any callers betting that high.

I think betting anywhere from 2 to 5 dollars would be the right play.

I would have only minraised at that point. I doubt they would have called anything more. Maybe $3.

I don't mind the play if you are pretty sure that someone has an ace, but I don't think that's the case here. I would make it about 4-6 with the river raise.

I don't mind this. It seems that players that are smart enough to fold to a value bet will think you're trying to steal and call this. It's a delayed MOH.

What's the indicator(s) that is/are making you think neither of them has an Ace here? Their small bet sizes?

Yeah, the small bets, the lack or raises, the overall lack of action. If someone has an ace here, I would at least expect a fishy min-raise. This seems like high unders, and maybe a small-mid PP playing a bit scared.
