PLO/8 - 200SnG check up (X-POST)

I put this in the 0/8 section, but they suggested I post here too. I know my sample is small, but for PL0/8 - or even NLHE, how sustainable are these stats:

At the $10 level I think you can come close to sustaining these numbers. At least the ITM. Probably not the ROI.

I've played some $10 O/8. The players are god awful. So bad. Much worse than the average chump playing $10 NLHE.

Jesus, those are good figures. I wouldn't know, like Bigwig seems to, what they mean as far as sustainability in Omaha games, as I've never played Omaha. So I'll just say congrats.

After 200 your ITM should be getting fairly close to what it actually is. With a 46% ITM you're gonna have a good ROI. Whether the 42% is sustainable I don't really know but I have some doubts.

Overall I tend to think after 200 tourneys that these numbers mean more than nlhe numbers after this many tourneys due to the nature of the game.

I will try and post back after another 200.

They say 0/8 has less swings, so I thought that after 200 SnGs - I'd start to be able to see something.

If nothing else, i think I can be confident I can beat the game (at least at this level)

are you getting a 40% roi? i know omaha pretty well, how long do these take? prepare for invasion.

NO!!!.. stay away from my tables.

LOL - they can take anywhere from like 40 minutes to just over an hour.

I have been 5 handed on level 1 or 2, and heads up by level 5 many times.

46% ITM seems VERY reasonable. And your ROI is probably within normal ranges. I would compare these stats favorably to the NL $10+1s. (In general, calculate an even distribution of ROI with your ITM, and you'll likely get a little closer to "the norm."

Furthermore, I have been dabbling with PLO games (I prefer the non Hi/Lo). Just the lower buyins tho. In those games, regular SNG strategy that we discuss here works very well. My only problem is that I don't know a good starting hand when I see one. I just always play a hand like 6789. Otherwise I fold a lot.
