I know that Party has the Mini-Steps, and Steps, and Step highers, but why don't all of the skins have 400+xx or 500+xx, or whatever SNGs?

It seems that it would generate them more rake, and I'm sure there is a demand for it. Thoughts?

The fish go broke too quick and the good players cash out. You'd rather have a fish play 10 109's than one 1090 cos they might get lucky and place in a couple of 109's and are more likely to recycle the money = more rake. JMHO

cause party controls what kinds of tables are generated i believe, and they want some things that are exclusive to party, to draw people to their "skin."

also, yes, wanting to have people play more low stakes games instead of fewer high stakes games is an issue.

would there be enough fish playing $400 sngs? The steps encourages fish to play higher but I don't know about sngs.

Yes their certaintly would be enough fish at this level imo. I would love it if party could add a 500+25 SNG, It would make the 215s even easier.

It would be nice to see party add this tournament and possibly make it with 1200 starting chips, I think this would turn a lot of 'top' 215 pros into fish.

Something tells me that this might just happen after this year's WSOP. (hopefully) About the extra starting chips, that would be real fun but I really doubt Party would do this to increase the length of the games even more. Just look at the 15k buyin step 5 higher with 1k chips. /images/graemlins/wink.gif I really can't wait for a 400/500 type buyin soon.

1. It's more then 1000

2. 1500 would take too long

3. 1300 just sounds weird

4. 800 (5+1's, 11's, 22s, 33s) + 200 = 1000 (55s, 109s 215s), 1000+200 = 1200.

Ok fine maybe I don't have any good reasons, that number just made sense to me.

Poker Stars has 1000 buy in SNG single table

Yeah I don't know what you guys are talking about. Stars has a 1000, 600 (turbo), and 500 buy in (all single tables). Doesn't seem like anyone ever plays them...they're always empty. Maybe there really is not enough demand.

When party opened up $30/60 limit and $10-20NL tables they instantly crushed the number of tables stars had.

If they opened up higher buy in normal SNGs I guarentee they'd be running.

The Cryptologic based sites have $1000 SNG's that run occasionaly and $600 6 max SNG's that run quite often. Not that anyone round these parts plays on Cryptologic. Not that I'm complaining about that.
