I know there are a lot of people still single tabling and multitabling here, so I just wanted to get a poll out there to show my fellow non-multi-tablers that a lot of us exist . . . hopefully . . .

Damn, lots of 8-tabling going on. Maybe I posted this poll a little too late at night for the more casual players.

You need to add 8tablers who need a 2nd 1600x1200. Or 8tablers (with 2 1600x1200s) who need another monitor /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thought I'd give this a bump just to see where the day crowd plays.

I'm staying at 4 tables for a while. I might bump it to 5 or 6 eventually. I actually use 2 monitors for 4 tabeling, although its not necessary. That way I can have easy access to things like hand histories, poker prophecy, and the lobby to start new tables.

I'm really a baller, a shotcaller.

i mostly 3 table.. I have trouble handling 4 tables on the bubble, whereas 3 is easy for me.. lately i have been able to move up to 4 by staggering them.. i.e., start 2 and then at level 3 start 2 more.. as long as all 4 of them down hit bubble at once im fine.. i dont think i could handle 6-8 tho.

I use to stagger also, but it screws with my head to much. If you get the first 2 to short handed, then there are more playable hands, and a lot of pushing situations. Where when there are 5-10 those hands are played different.

Kinda same problem if ya play 2 of one buy in and 2 of another. Different thought processes.

I normally play between 4 and 5 and agree with previous posts in this thread and other threads that it takes time to adjust. My first 4 table session I was almost out of breath at the end /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I play four in sets. I just moved up to 4 tooday and like the synchroncy (sp) aspect of it much better than staggering. If I get busted on level 1 or 2 then I'll just start up another one.

Not to hijack the post, but by adding more and more tables should you have a bigger bankroll than normal?

Your ROI will probably be lower (at the increase of $/hr so obviously worth it). But that means that your ROR will be higher, which means you need a bigger bankroll.

Wow, almost 60% of the people who responded play four or more tables. Maybe I am alone in my one and two tabling . . . I will not succumb to peer pressure.

Good. It's 100% not the kind of thing you should do just because other people are doing it.

I was semi-joking, I'm not gonna start 4 tabling anytime soon, but I was considering 3 tabling the 11's because they are getting pretty formulaic for me. But yeah, I don't get to play enough, so my sample size is really low, so I'm not sure if I'm really good enough to multitable, so I won't.

I'm in the same boat but two tabling is simple enough.

3-tabling just looks bad on my monitor.

multitabling really helps with the bad beats... i just lost KK to AQ and then AQ to A2 late back to back so instead of being a 6000 chip stack I'm out 4th, but I have 5 other tables where I'm doing good on the bubble so that's ok.

It can make good things better, bad things worse, but mostly, just helps even things out.

I am in the norm so to speak 4 tabling but considering the jump to 8tables once new office is finished have to get another monitor.

I couldn't agree more. I'm never going to finish ITM in every SNG I play. 4 tablling allows me to be realistic without feeling the frustration of finishing OOTM. On the rare (and getting rarer /images/graemlins/grin.gif ) occaisions that I end up OOTM in all 4, I chalk it up to varience and think of all the times i've been ITM in 3 or 4 out of 4.
