Anybody got any suggestions for a better way to play this?
Can I get out more cheaply if I lead the flop? Or is he too likely to raise me with most of his hands that miss as well as his legitimate ones?

Villain in this hand is 22.8/18.9/4.4 with 30% ATS

i think you played it fine. i like a flop C/R instead of betting out because many PF raisers will raise w/ overcards or a draw and you won't know where you're at by betting out.

the A is dirty, not much else you can do but bet/fold.

His PFR seems to be pretty high, suggests some loose stealing standards. If that's the case I might be willing to 3bet preflop and become aggro man from there. When he shows a raise on the turn, like this case, you have to let it go.
