Laggy table with some strange Ax crap being shown down. As you can see no-one seems au fait with the 10BB 'rule'.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button (t1220)
SB (t1875)
Hero (t1510)
UTG (t885)
MP (t2510)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T/images/graemlins/heart.gif, T/images/graemlins/club.gif.
1 fold, MP raises to t600, Button calls t600, SB calls t450, Hero ????

I push here even though I think the Button at the very least will call. TT is a premium hand 5 handed, there is already a lot of money in the pot and after the initial raise (which looks a lot like a steal) I don't expect the other two to have QQ-AA.

TT moves all-in. These guys haven't said they have JJ-AA yet, and you've only got 5x BB. Hope to double up without a showdown, though being a 70/30 favorite at 2:1 would be nice.

The button just called 1/2 his stack. That's exactly how many people would play AA. The SB called for 1/3 of his stack....again very suspicious.

I suppose you could hope they all have Ax or 99, but I think you fold here and let them kill each other.

yes its suspicious, especially the min raise utg. "Laggy table with some strange Ax crap being shown down" isn't enough for us to define UTG hand range. Unless you read this weak raise as stength pushing is the way to go.

My thoughts: if I went all in I was pretty sure that 2 of the 3 LAGs would call, although I thought I probably had the best hand I figured I would be up against 3 of the 4 overcards (AKQJ), which would give me an approximately 33% chance of winning. I'd also, effectively, stolen my way to T1500 and I felt I could continue to steal.

So I folded...

The hand panned out as follows:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button (t1220)
SB (t1875)
Hero (t1510)
UTG (t885)
MP (t2510)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T/images/graemlins/heart.gif, T/images/graemlins/club.gif.
1 fold, MP raises to t600, Button calls t600, SB calls t450, 1 fold.

Flop: (t2100) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
SB checks, MP bets t300, Button raises to t620 (All-In), SB calls t620, MP folds.

Turn: (t3640) 5/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t3640) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t3640

Results in white below:
Button has 9h Ad (high card, ace).
SB has 9s 9c (one pair, nines).
Outcome: SB wins t3640.

[I went on to win it anyway - can't work out if that's being results orientated or not....]

"The button just called 1/2 his stack. That's exactly how many people would play AA. The SB called for 1/3 of his stack...."

Ding. Yep I fold here. Those calls might be telling more than a push.

"Hope to double up without a showdown"

Not gonna happen. You don't have much FE vs people who have just called off large chunks of their stacks.

"though being a 70/30 favorite at 2:1 would be nice. "

Vs overcards you a little better than a coinflip, and vs a higher PP you are a huge dog.

I'd fold. This is almost one of those calling on the bubble when there is a very short stack situations. Maybe 2 people will bust out. Probably at least one bust and one crippling. Plus the blinds are about to hit UTG who will be pretty much crippled.
