I recently made it to step 5 of the Mini-Steps tourney on Party ($400+$30 buy in). Remaining positions pay $2000, $1000, $500, and $300 so survival is obviously key here and pot odds takes a back seat. Opinions about whether these 3 hands are call or fold? Thanks.

Why? Isn't winning key here?

Hand 1 is an easy call.

Hand 2 is a fold.

Hand 3 you should probably fold, but I call anyway. (edit: SNGPT says this is a clear fold)

Survival is not paramount. Winning is key, because the structure is incredibly top-heavy compared to SNG's. $200 doesn't matter when there's a shot for another $1000 down the line. SNG's have a much bigger bubble, and it'd be tough to fold 1 in a normal SNG, but here, it's a clear call.

BTW, I agree with all of your plays.

i disagree with all of your plays. i would rather push any 2, than call any of these raises with crap. and that is what you had each hand. crap. hoh is a great book.
