I did NOT want a call... this was a plain old steal from the limpers... dumb?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

CO (t1028)
Button (t125)
SB (t1467)
Hero (t665)
UTG (t2150)
UTG+1 (t795)
MP1 (t725)
MP2 (t1045)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG calls t100, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, CO calls t100, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, hero pushes.

depends on what you think of your opponents. without that, outside help is totally useless (like without your reads, we can't really tell you anything).

but i can tell you that the concept that 2 1/2 limpers somehow eats all the high cards in the deck is kinda ridiculous.

That was a joke, sorry I should have made that clearer, I'll take it out.

I really don't have reads on any of my opponents, (multi-tabling), I think that's a leak in my game too.

I don't mind it so much. Even if you get a caller odds are good you have two live cards. That 40% shot is sometimes the best you can hope for... But I'd be surprised if you don't get called by one of them so if your goal was to not get called, it probably won't work.

Something tells me UTG calls this a large enough percentage of the time to not make it worth it. I could be convinced otherwise however.

I don't think that you can make this play without reads

Yeah, I like this play alot if UTG doesn't have such a big stack, or is weak/tight and has made all his money on AA or something, AND MP and SB are read as fairly tight and not smart enough to sense your play being the move that it is. That's a lot of qualifications, but if they're met I love this play. I've found that pushing against a tight limper and a tight SB completing is one of the easiest ways to get right back in it if you're down to 600-700 on level 4.

I prefer making this play a little later in the tourney, when a couple more players are gone and people are starting to think survival to get to the money. Here I can see you getting called too often.
