When there is a severe thunderstorm warning for your county and golfball sized hail coming down. The cable modem was only down for about 20 minutes and I was able to place in one of them, but it was not looking good for a while. I guess thats just one of the great advantages to living in Kansas.

yeah, my power went out today, twice. So go to my trusty cellphone, only to find i have <30 minutes of talk time left! Luckily i had a backup battery for the phone, and laptop battery lasted long enough to finish all 4, and then i sat outside, because there was nothin to do.

Thats when it pays to have a friend or two who are willing and able to play for you.

Get a good battery back up unit. They are soooo worth the money. The peace of mind alone isn't bad, but it's great to be able to keep playing when the power goes out.

If you're going to invest money in a tourney, don't skimp on investing in your ability to complete it.

I usually avoid starting a new set after eating anything on the Taco Bell dollar value menu.
