Got there Saturday night, and checked into a Penthouse at Imperial Palace. This hotel stinks, BTW, but the penthouse room was sweet. A balcony that could fit 40-50 people, 3 televisions, 2 bedrooms, a bathtub that could fit 4, a bar, and 17 ashtrays. This trip was rescheduled, so in our scrambling we ended up at the IP.

Blackjack until 7am--up $800. Bam!

Blackjack/craps/sports the next day. Still up. Not as much. Olympia Gardens strip joint that night. I made a friend who I hooked up with Tuesday night. I'll leave those details out. It was a good time.

Anyway, to the poker. I didn't play much. Why? Cause I'm on vacation, and I play poker all the damn time at home. I played a rebuy tourney at Orleans Tuesday night. 244 entries.

Folded a LOT early on. Casino players (at least in buyins of less than $300 total), as a rule, are much worse than the typical $30 player on Party. I mean, they suck. And everywhere I play (AC/Vegas/Niagara), there are always several locals who know each other at my table, talking about the game like they know what they're doing. They don't. They suck, too.

Some typical chump raised from MP, and I look down to see QQ as I sit on the button. I push, he calls with KJ. The flop comes AQT. Ouch. Straight for dippy. River fills me up, and I'm doing fine. I double up once more. I can't remember the hand. I was drunk.

I get moved to another table, where I get 9d8d in the SB. Three limp, I complete, BB checks. I've got about t10,000 and the blinds are 150/300 with an ante.

The flop comes rags with two diamonds. BB bets, one fold, an all-in, and a call of the all-in. I've got both players covered. I'd be down to about 4000 chips if I call. But BB is still in the hand. And I don't know if my flush outs are good. I think they are. But there's no doubt that my overcards are NOT good. I told myself I'd gamble in these spots, but I folded here. I would have made the flush on the turn, and won a huge pot. The players had a set and a straight.

Eventually, I go card dead and am forced to call with KTo in the BB and I ran into JJ. Out in 33rd, top 20 were paid.

Binions, Tuesday afternoon. 66 players, top 8 paid. I played flawlessly, IMO, in this tourney. The table largely stunk--again. I doubled up early with my QQ vs. AK. Then I lost a big pot with AJ when I had to call an all-in pot committed. Punk had AK.

So, I'm getting low on chips. Real low. I think I have 1500 with the blinds at 150/300. I'm second to act at an 8 man table, and the guy to my right pushes. I look down at 88, think about my spot, and call. He has A9, I hold up, and have some breathing room.

Two hands later, in the BB, some chump who had limped all night with everything limps again from EP. Short stack chick pushes for her last 750. With the blinds at 200/400, I can call without fear of a reraise from Captain Limp Suck. I look down at T2o!!!! Binions!!!! I call, so does limper. Flop comes T high with 3 diamonds. I check, and I have the 2d. I push. Captain Limp Suck calls with AdQc. Ick. He's got a lot of outs. I hold up and bam! I'm over t10,000.

Now, I've got the big stack at the table. And I start shoving people around. This local guy two to my left (good player) knew what I was doing, and was giving me the warning. Heh.

So Captain Limp Suck pushes from 1st seat with a decent amount (maybe 4000), and I'm on the button with QQ. I push, local guy groans and folds. Limp suck has A8, and catches an A. Damn.

Somewhere I lose another decent pot, get some blinded away, and now I'm down to about 5K, blinds 400-800 or so. I push from MP with A9. Local guy goes in the tank. Finally he folds, saying he's sure he had me beat. Everyone folds, and we both show. He had AQs. Whew. Dodged one there.

Couple of hands later I push with 99 from CO. Local dude reraises all-in immediately. He's got 77. Curses himself for folding that hand earlier, and I double through.

Now we're down to 11 players, and the blinds are ridiculous. It's like 1000-2000, and I'm sitting with 10K on the button with A7o. I push. Local guy calls with KK. He catches trips on the flop, I miss my gut shot straight on the river, and I'm out 11th. Three from the money. Son of a.

I then played a cash game at Binions. 1/2 NL. Let me tell you, these guys are dicks. I had a moron to my left who played every hand. Not just SOME hands. Every hand. Of course, I got sucked out on twice to lose my $300 buy in.

Once when I guy hit higher trips on the turn after we got the money in on the flop. The other when a guy hit his flush on the river (money in on the turn). F***!

Two minutes later, as I'm walking away from the poker room, my friend from Olympic Gardens shows up. The rest is censored.

I'll try and do a tally:

Total losses $1,500
Strippers scored 1
Sam Adams consumed 20
Jack and diets: 10
White russians: 10
Irish coffees: 1
Screwdrivers: 2
Hooker propositions: 1 (Olympic girl was not a pro--at least not that night)
Strong sexual suggestive comments made by hot black chicks wearing skirts that require two haircuts: 1 (pretty sure that had I pursued, she would've turned out to be a pro)

Maybe I had more drinks, I'm not sure.
