I just want to know what everyone elses standards are, what is the lowest ranking hand you would push with here? Any Q, any J, any two? Thanks

Well, definitely not 'any two.' Hmm...I dunno. I'd have to have an idea what the other players would call. Hopefully someone else can give you a better answer.

22+, A5+, K9+, QJ. Just a range... Seems reasonable.

Just assume they have the same calling standards as yourself.

I don't really know what I'm doing, but I'm pushing about 30-35% of my hands there. So pretty liberally.

I push any K here too, in fact in this hand I had K6 off. I figured the SB and BB would only call if they had a pair or an ace as they would be crippled if they lost. The same went for the big stack as 1800 is still a good chunk of his stack.

With my line of thinking could I lower my standards for a push even more?

Except they don't have 15x BB, they only have 8. This makes a pretty big difference when it comes to calling your pushes.

I was thinking that their fear of finishing out of the money would cause them to fold hands better than mine even though they are also short stacked.

Just out of curiosity where did you come up with the range of hands you listed in your other post?

It's kinda feel-based, but there's a lot of good stuff out there for this kind of crap. My HU play has become much better now that I know which hands to poosh.

Scroll down and check out hand rankings. There is where it's at. I'm still figuring out what range to get for top 40% though. 22+, A2+, K2+, Q8+, JT?

Either way, I'm pushing about top 30% here.

I'm a Noob, so grain of salt here.

If you absolutely feel you have to push all-in because of the blinds, then do so with KK, AK, AQ, AA, KQs and maybe 88+.

Why so tight? If you do nothing at all but fold through the next orbit, you'll have $1340 and 2 more hands before the blinds start to sting. You'll still be in mid-stack shape at that point and will have had 2 "extra" chances to catch a better starting hand than something like mid-pairs or KJ, TJ. In the meantime, a bust-fest could take place leaving you ITM at least.

At that point......POOSH!

Just an opinion. Good luck on the tables. SlackerMcFly
