Should I have just led this river and hoped for calls?

Bet. With the 4-straight on board, a bet from someone else will usually mean that they have a straight in this spot (or some other really good hand). By betting, you will get called by all kinds of stuff that will check if you check.

what Shillx said. The board is too scary that an unknown Party 2/4 player will not bet any hands that you beat (or try to bluff for that matter), but will call a bet with many hands that you beat.

Boards with four-card straights scare the bejeezus out of anybody who doesn't have the fifth card. Given how passively MP2 and MP3 played this hand (preflop, flop, and turn) you can't expect anybody to bet into you. Put your money in and hope the aces call. If you do get raised, expect to split this pot with another queen, and play accordingly -- reraise if MP2 raises and MP3 calls but call if MP2 calls and MP3 raises. You don't want to scare away dead money from a split pot.

That check is retarded.

Check if you don't like money.
