I'm starting to play these a lot and I really like them. I feel like I have a greater edge in here for three reasons:

1) There is less nutpeddling in SH play. Thus there's more room for less skilled players to make mistakes. Though you have to figure out who you can bluff and who you can't early.

2) Better Vigourish, eg. $12+$1 vs. $10+$1.

3) It's easy to do the whole "party allin/fold" thing when the blinds are high. There's actually postflop play required since the blinds go up so slowly.

Anyone else like 6-max SnGs?

I have played a couple of them. I enjoyed them.

I've thought about these before. Despite the benefits you listed, aren't you playing longer, thinking more, and being paid less than Party SNGs?

I've only played seven of these so far (getting my feet wet as it were) but my time stats are:

4 33
4 22
3 49
1 65
1 40
5 27
1 40

And the one that ran for 65 minutes I was HU against a total rock that managed to win 8 allins in a row after which he proceeded to fold all his new chips back to me.

I might like these better than bigger S&Gs, but I never played more than a dozen of them for a few reasons:

1. My biggest problem with them is that I'm usually multitabling and often also watching TV on the other monitor, much harder to multitable when all your games are shorthanded.

2. Only 5 entrants other than myself, less potential dead money and a much lower potential ROI.

3. I moved to party S&Gs anyway since they take less time and even though less poker skill is required with the ridiculous structure, I make a lot more money at it. A real blind structure forces me to play longer, pay attention, and actually play poker (which I'd enjoy a little more, but isn't the reason I play most of the time anymore).

4. They don't run at high enough stakes for me now.

I've played the PS Turbos (25+2) for the same reason. Plus, they're just about as fast as Party.
