Late in a Stars MTT, approaching the bubble I have an average stack. Should I be making this play if the button hasn't set off my loose/agressive radar yet?

It depends. If you think there is a reasonably good chance that the button will fold then I have no problem with pushing.
The problem with this play is the lack of any real good reads
online. It's always much more dangerous to resteal then to
just plain old steal.
