when i play pocket aces i usually go for the flopped 4 of a kind.

i think it's fine how you played it. i dont think i'd bet the river, i'd use my one bet to see the showdown, assuming someone else bet. and if it's raised on this board i'd drop it.

Sadly, it happens. It helps to keep in mind that your hand will be much less profitable when you play against villains that don't call down trying to river you with these hand.

Same thing happened to me a couple days ago...villiam had 7 3 suited and rivered two pair. Sucks...I'll still play the hand every time though. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
