Decided to play a quick 10k at 1/2 6m before moving up from 3/6 full to 5/10 6m. I think this is going to save me some money later /images/graemlins/grin.gif Anyway: Is this a standard call down? Both OPs have 50/18+ after 100 hands or so...

First of all, these aren't 2 maniacs. If someone has 50/18 stats then they are probably raising somewhat properly preflop (as most TAGs will have a PFR of 15-18%), but limping too much. A shorthanded maniac will have stats like 65/35%+.

This is a tough hand. There are all kinds of draws that will raise (and 3-bet) here on the flop, yet you are likely ahead at this stage. I think I call the 3-bet and hope for a brick turn. When the turn bricks, I think I go for a checkraise against MP. If 3-bet then it's probably time to fold since you are likely drawing dead.

Thanks spydog and isura. This is something I need to work on as I almost always call the river with any kind of hand when the pot is this big. Would you say this is a situation where one can be sure that they are saving two BBs by folding the river? People show down the strangest hands in these games.
