you have to be the most annoying kid EVER.

before i put you back on the ignore list.

the yankees are NOT VERY GOOD.

also, there is no way in hell the yankes can get roger. they haverNOTHING of value to give up.

Because, let's be honest, there weren't enough threads talking about how much you want to stick it in Mike Mussina's pooper.

the mets only have 9 hits through 3 innings today - kris benson has one for pete's sake.

nothing better than the yankees being mediocre...well, maybe a couple things...but not many.

He has been one of the best pitchers in the toughest division in baseball over the past 14 years.

His career ERA+ is 127. He has never had a super dominating year, but he's been consistently much better than the league.

The average ERA in the AL 2003 was 4.39, after you adjust for park. Mussina's ERA was 3.40; 29% better than the league average and 8th in the AL.

This year, after adjusting for park (using 3-year park factors) it's at 4.22. In order to be 29% better, his ERA would have to be 3.00.

Reminds me of the Natasha Hentstridge conundrum: if someone as good looking as Henstridge is just a C-list celebrity, how bad an actress must she be?

If someone who looks like Dead finds the time to post almost 60 times per day on an internet forum, how much of an ass must he be in real life?

1. Put up with about 40 posts/day of "WHEE! YANKEES RULE! WE'RE GOING TO PWN THE LEAGUE THIS YEAR! JUST YOU WAIT." Annoying as hell.

2. Put Dead on Ignore, and miss all the funny flaming shots he receives. Plus the pink shirt.

Advice?

i have gone both ways on this one, i had him on ignore for a week or two, and that was very enjoyable. you get to see people insult him and can imagine what idiotic statement he made to piss off the poster. then again, when you actually read his posts, you realize that no sane person can begine to imagine how stupid he makes himself look with the posts he makes.

No! You're missing the most important stat: Clutchness. ARod ranks #1 in that too. That, alone, separates him from the rest of the Yankees, never mind those stupid ass Red Sox. I'm telling you, A-Rod knows what's up. He KNEW that Tino, who has been totally sucking lately (I mean, come on. 5 games with homeruns in a row? Who cares. A-Rod only cares about how many games Tino has slapped people in, and the answer to that is ZERO), would obviously strikeout, so he knew he had to jumpstart the team...by getting picked off.

Him and Jeter, they're my Captain CSs.
