I mean granted, Dallas is FREAKING HORRIBLE on the defensive side, but he completely took over this series.

What the [censored] was Dirk doing. It was like he just gave up after they effed up on Phoenix's last possession of regulation.

to me it seems like a pretty big fuckup by dallas that they let nash go. usually you should be willing to spend a lot of money on the mvp (or top 5 player as some people think).

He was kinda overshadowed in Dallas. Dirk was easily the best player on that team and they also drafted Devin Harris and got Jason Terry. They didn't really need him and he was asking for too much. He was also a big injury risk. Sports Guy did an article before the season on basketball offseason acquisitions and wrote a funny thing about Nash that was something like "If you ever see Mark Cuban throw up his arms and say he can't match an offer, you know you're overpaying."

Basically, Nash was worth WAY more to the Suns than the Mavs.

1-Nash ended up on the perfect team for him. There's no other team on which he would look so "good".
2-His stats barely rose from last year (14.5 ppg/8.8 apg to 15.5 ppg/11.5 apg), when he didn't even make 3rd team all-NBA.
3-His previous team actually won more games without him (52 last year, 58 this year)
4-He can't guard me, let alone top-level NBA PGs.
5-He's 31 and has a bad back. No way should Dallas (or anyone) have given him a huge long-term contract.
6-He's not even the best player on his own team (Stoudamire is much better).

And anyone who says he's one of the top 5 players in the NBA has no idea about the game, and no longer gets to have an opinion on basketball.

Not a spectacular increase when you:

A - go to a team that scores 11 ppg more and

B - have no other good passers on the team (Both Nowitzki and Antoine Walker are very good passers, while no one on the Suns is an above-average passer)

i love guys who bash players with numbers.

he just beat his former team - on their floor - decisively.

his team this year has won how many more games than last?!

he's pwning everyone in sight...maybe you'll quit bashing him after they beat the spurs.

Nash should've been third in the MVP vote.

Performances in the playoffs are irrelevant. The MVP is a regular season award. Besides, let me play six games at point against Allas and I could average 20/10.
