Chickened out on th eriver as usual. Pretty scary board although i always find a way to convince myself someone is slow playing a flush etc.

Is a river bet/fold a better line here vs 2 unknowns?

IMO raise the river, and look for resistance, only check that pot if you want to C/R. But I may be missing something, what type of read you have?

not missing anything at all mate. Just need a foot up my ass to start playing some good solid poker. So a bet/call or bet/fold is more standard if i lead the river?

Let's not check raise this. I don't know if I dislike a check here. I want to show down this hand, and checking gets us there, as we won't be calling a raise. I think betting here tends to meet raises with this board, whereas check/calling might induce a bet from a hand that wouldn't otherwise call.

Well A Bet would be pretty close to a call, and a re-raise of your bet (unless you had a big read) would need to be called. so.. if you believe you have the best hand... BET! if not check/call. its situation dependent on to bet or check/call here.. This is why I like having reads. Just my 2 cents

why would u call a raise? id fold or maybe yell as i called it. i like the check/call. he could have middle pair and decide that you missed your ace or something. if he was on a draw he may fold to a bet, but our weakness gives him reason to bet and for one bet we can show it down. nice. i would never check raise this tho (wo specific read)
