Worst Shots?

Last weekend after already being drunk for a couple hours, I gave my friend $20 and told him to go get us some shots. He came back with a shot and I asked him what it was and he said Snake Bite.

I have had a Snake Bite before and it was a girlie shot. So I attacked the shot like it was nothing and boy was I surprised... I started choking, burned the [censored] out of my throat and I was spitting up stuff with snot coming out of my nose. I then had to take a 10 minute timeout and stand in the bathroom because I thought I was going to puke.

Obviously what I had before wasn't a real Snake Bite. I still don't know what was in that shot since when I ask people they all have a different definition of what a snake bite is. I doubt it had Tabasco sauce since the shot was light so I'm guessing Yukon & lemon juice.

What are some other strong shots that I need to stay away from when I'm plastered?

cheap liquor... period. especially cheap vodka, tequila and gin. actually, i cant stand shots of gin, but apparently some people like them.

equal parts Jack, Jim, Johnny, and if you feel froggy, Jose.

I was in Cleator Az one time, in a dinky little general store/bar. It was mid afternoon, and the lady behind the bar was bored. Poured us a shot she called a snake bite.

Said it was tequila with rattle snake venom in it.

Being 23, and a stupid Jar head to boot, I had 3. Tasted like the inside of a camels ass*, but no lasting harmful effects....just got pretty warm and then I went ahead and got hammered.

*no, I have never had the pleasure of tasting the inside of a camel's ass.

Going back in time many years, this was the drink that was the last for a pal on his 21st birthday. I brought him the Rusty Nail and down it went -- and it almost instantly came right back up in the empty beer pitcher in front of us.

I did one before and it didn't bother me... but none of the 4 really bother me straight.

I really don't know what it was about this Snake Bite that did it to me. Maybe it was just because I underestimated it and went at it like it was pucker.

one time i thought i was the big man on campus and swallowed 3 shots of vodka at once. i started choking big time and was a little worried about like dying or something. after like 20 seconds of this i was able to breathe again.

Snake Bite #1

1 msr Green Chartreuse®
1 dash Tabasco® sauce


Pour the green chartreuse into a shot glass, add a dash of tabasco sauce, and serve. Add more tabasco sauce for a more venimous bite.

1 part tequila
5 - 10 drops Tabasco® sauce


Add 1 part Jack Daniels whiskey and 1 part tequila to your shot glass. Then add a few (5 to 10) drops of tabasco sauce. Take it down like a shot.

My friend's dad owns a redneck bar just outside of town. We were there one night last summer, and my friend's dad sent this over to our table for me:

1 1/2 oz Scotch Whisky
1/2 oz Drambuie
1 twist Lemon peel

It's called a Rusty Nail. I'd never tasted anything quite so horrible in my life.
