View Full Version : ARGGGG!!!! IM GOING MAD!!!!

So im sitting upstairs installing WoW (just bought it, have never played it before) and I can hear a very distinct electronic BEEP, go off every 3 minutes or so. I have no clue what it is, and since it isnt ever 10 seconds or something, im having a hell of a time tracking it down. Its also one of those sounds that sounds like its coming from all over, instead of just one place.

I swear if I dont find it soon, they are going to find me naked in a pool of blood on the floor with all my hair pulled out and forks jammed in my ear drums.

It could be your fire alarm (with low batteries).

I've had this happen before.

It is typically your fire alarm or carbon monoxide detector.

Smoke alarm was the 2nd thing I checked (cell phone was first). It was neither /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Unless you have terrible hearing, you should find it within 3 minutes. I don't know why you're bitching on OOT.

Close the doors in every room. If it's muffled then you know it's behind a certain door. Open 1 door at a time and repeat.

Time the beeps with a watch. Helps you pay attention when you need to.

damn, thats pretty smart.

I found it tho. It was in fact my cell phone. Just not the one I use. I bought a new one a few days ago, and forgot about the old one. It was beeping to tell me the battery was dying.

Unfortunately my sanity is still in danger because instead of an annoying unplacable "beep" every couple minutes. I now have "Ring ring ring ring, banana phone!!" stuck in my head from rundown's link. /images/graemlins/frown.gif
